DAY 2. ARUSHA TO LAKE MANYARA

In the morning you will be collected from your accommodation in Arusha by your personal Safari Guide for the drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Not only is this park a bird-lover’s paradise with over 400 species of birds, but it is also home to primates such as baboons and blue monkeys and many herbivores such as elephants, hippos, wildebeest, impalas and giraffes. You might even catch a glimpse of the carnivorous inhabitants, such as leopards and lions. Through the pop-up roof of your safari vehicle you will see the landscape changing from lush acacia woodlands to grassy floodplains, where colonies of flamingos and other water fowl can be found on Lake Manyara’s shoreline. After extensive game viewing you will leave the park and head to your campsite, handpicked partners of Lion King Adventures for their quality and peaceful settings. Relax in the ambience of this charming spot while your dinner is prepared for you.

DAY 3. SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will continue towards the fertile highlands where wheat, coffee and corn are grown by the Iraqw people. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breath-taking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to The Serengeti National Park, Serengeti, ‘Endless Plain’ in Maa, the tongue of the Maasai, the largest park in Tanzania, home to diverse landscapes and habitats such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountains and all of the creatures there inhabiting. Here, the biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place and, depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals on their search for food and water. After an extensive game drive, you will drive to your campsite, in the heart of the Serengeti, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 4. SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

During the short rainy season in November and December, the herds can be found in the plains of the south, returning north during the longer rainy season from April to June. Their exact location differs yearly as they migrate according to the rainfalls, but your guide will know where you will be able to see them best. Lurking close by you may even spot some leopards, cheetahs and lions.

After a day with the wildlife on the endless plains, you will return to your campsite for your evening meal and overnight stay.

DAY 5. NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
